Seven Days of Love: Day 1 (For the Guys)

Every woman desires to be pampered by her lover, and you can pamper her right at home by setting up a home spa. You’re probably thinking that it is very complicated and expensive to setup a spa at home, but it is not and it is definitely worth the effort.

Okay, even though it won’t cost you an arm and a leg to set up a spa at home, you would need to invest some time in it for sure! If you are short on time, you may want to go in for a simple facial.  But if you have several hours to spare, you could setup a complete spa at home. You can start off with treatments such as gentle food rub or a scalp massage.  If you are still skiddish about creating your own spa treatments, just keep it simple.  Use a great smelling bubble bath for the tub, drop in a few drops of baby oil to give her skin a nice soft feel, as well as a nice smell.  You cannot go wrong with oil, just don’t overdo it in the tub, she may slip.  First things first, CLEAN THE BATHROOM. And I do mean clean it, from top to bottom: toilet, sink, tub, sweep and mop the floor, take out trash in the bathroom wastebasket, and anything else that needs to be touched up.  Leave no stone unturned.

Fill the tub with lukewarm to hot water and float some rose petals on the top.  Not too many, just enough to give a nice effect.  Candles and rose petals will go a long way.  For small spaces use tea light candles, but keep in mind that you will need extras just in case they burn out.  Make sure to get at least one type of aromatherapy candle that smells sensual.  Don’t use a variety of aromatherapy candles of different scents at once, unless the scents match like vanilla and cinnamon or lavender and vanilla.  Pretty much anything with vanilla will work if you want more than one type of aromatherapy candle.  You can get artificial rose petals from Walmart or any type of craft store.

Okay, now the key is to indulge all of her senses.  The candles and rose petals will cover sight and smell.  Feed her some sensual foods like chocolate covered strawberries (recipe coming later on today) or truffles, and use her favorite wine or champagne to wash it down. Taste, check.  Play romantic music softly in the background, only loud enough to be heard over you talking softly to make sure you have sound covered.  For touch, there are several options.  You can give her a back rub while she is in the tub, a footrub before she goes in the tub, or a full body massage after she gets out of the tub.  Use your imagination in this area.  You know what she will like in this area best.

Make sure to have plenty of clean, folded towels available.  It would be great to buy some new white fluffy ones just for the occasion.  Also get a robe for her to put on after the soak.  It would be great if it was fresh from the dryer.  Keep the wine or champagne flowing, in a tasteful manner, and go from there.
